The greatest gift a director can receive is to see hard work and dedication pay off. I, along with the rest of the team, put in hours of time to try to make art happen on stage. We always succeed, but it is the little surprises along the way that make the difference to me. It is seeing that people are taking the tricks that they learn along the way and utilizing them to better their performance that fills my cup. Or being able to throw a last minute change into a show (which I am notorious for) and watching them nail it makes me proud. With Rock of Ages, we have someone who has been doing the work to better their performance.....and it shows. This person is Lindsay. I have worked with Lindsay for a number of years now, but I feel that with Rock of Ages she is really finding herself as a performer. Her dance skills are always on point, but in Rock of Ages, she has found her voice. She is not afraid to sing loud and sing proud. It's a treat to hear her sing harmony in the show. A passionate volunteer. A beautiful dancer. Now a vocalist.
