Following a stroke or brain injury adults with aphasia find themselves unable to or limited in their ability to express their feelings thoughts and desires. As aphasia is rarely understood by people in the community this disorder can cause individuals to withdraw from communicating with friends andor family members. The Halton Aphasia Centre operating as the HaltonPeel Community Aphasia Programs HPCAP is a notforprofit organization that provides conversation group therapy for people with aphasia. Our groups follow a life participation approach enhancing the communication skills and quality of life of people with aphasia.
