In honor of Recovery Month, staff throughout the Addiction and Recovery team are sharing their journeys with recovery. Meet Markiyah, Case Manager with the STAR Program. "A misconception I'd like to address is that someone in recovery should not be given certain opportunities. Although everyone may not have a history of addiction, everyone has a history of obstacles they've had to overcome. For those who have been through ANY obstacles, there's been times when they were given a second, third or even fourth chance. Those in recovery also deserve second, third or fourth chances.
