We are celebrating 40 amazing years of Camp Goodtimes – where kids with cancer get to experience the joy of just being kids.🏕️ In 1985, a group of volunteers launched a medically supervised summer camp program for children affected by cancer. The inspiration for the camp came from Lois Youngston, a longtime Canadian Cancer Society volunteer, whose son had been diagnosed with cancer. The goal was to provide an environment for children affected by cancer to have fun, without sacrificing access to proper medical care. Now, Camp Goodtimes is celebrating its 40th year, and has programs in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, and is attended by hundreds of children, families and volunteers every year.
