Located in the Yaringaa Building, John Hoare Close, Woy Woy (the grey building opposite Rogers Park) The People's Pantry provides a helping hand to make ends meet for low income earners and people in crisis, offering free and low cost grocery items. 1. We provided emergency food relief delivering food hampers to families and individuals within our LGA. During covid lockdown we were delivering minimum of 30 hampers per week. 2. We also ran a food coop to provide free and low cost grocery items to the community. 3. We provided financial services to people in financial stress through counselling and referral, energy vouchers and food hampers. 4. Provision of financial literacy education to community groups. 5. Assitance with Tax Help program for low income earners. Support for women expereincing and survivng domestic violence through advocacy and financial support as well as assited referrals. 6. Partnered activities included supported playgroups, parenting course, and other support groups such as dads in distress.
