Today, on National Domestic Violence Remembrance Day, we pause to remember those who have died due to family violence and the strength of all victim survivors. So far this year, at least 24 women and seven children have died due to family and gender-based violence. We gather this evening to remember you, to honour you - each of your lives, your futures, your names. You have not been forgotten. Tonight's vigil is a chance for us to come together as a community to mourn those who have died, and find strength and courage together.
