Our Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) is looking for friendly volunteers who can speak Khmer to visit and support elderly Khmer-speaking residents in care facilities or in their homes. What this volunteer role involves: • Only 1 hour of visiting every two weeks • Conversations in Khmer about life, memories, or current events • Building a meaningful friendship with someone who values their culture Why this matters: For many elderly Khmer people, hearing their native language brings comfort and helps them feel connected to their heritage.
