We’re still buzzing after the recent Self Advocacy Expo, proudly delivered with our friends at New Wave! 💬🎉 Yooralla’s Leongatha Community Hub participants brought energy, creativity and passion - sharing powerful messages, bold banners and joyful dance moves to speak up for their rights. 🧑‍🎨🕺 “I think it was a good way to teach people that people with disability have rights like everyone and they need to treat us with respect,” said Kara. Holding their signs high and heads held even higher, our participants proudly marched laps, declaring their rights and voices loud and clear. Then came the dance moves during a very special dance performance. The event showcased the incredible self-advocacy happening at the Hub, supported by regular visits from Jess at New Wave.
