SPORT NEWS Cross Country Season | Congratulations to all students who have competed and represented St Andrews over the past few weeks at the Border Districts and Hinterland Trials for Cross Country. A special mention goes to the following students who won their events at the Hinterland Trials: Lachlan R, Jensen K, Neve M, Lucia Y, Orlando S, Indi S, and Harriet W – an outstanding achievement! With 14 students qualifying for the Hinterland Team and St Andrews winning 7 out of the 16 races, it was truly an incredible day. SLAPS Cross Country | St Andrews recently competed in the SLAPS Cross Country Carnival, going up against Lutheran schools from across the Gold Coast. Well done to all students who took part and proudly represented the College! A special congratulations to the 10 Years Boys, who took out first place in their division – an outstanding team effort! Queensland Athletics All Schools Cross Country Championships | Held on Saturday 10 May, a number of St Andrew’s students competed – Kendall R, Lachlan R, Jensen K, Indi S and Orlando S. Congratulations to Kendall, Jensen and Indi who all placed 2nd in their age groups. Swimming Nationals | Summer had a successful age nationals during the Easter Holidays. She made the final and finished 8th in the 200m back, 9th 100m Free (winning the B final) placing her in the top 10 for her age group. 11th 100m backstroke (2nd B final), 11th 50m backstroke. (fb)
