TASC National Limited

History

TASC originated from the Toowoomba Community Legal Service, established by volunteer solicitors in 1982. Over time, it evolved to include advocacy services, leading to a name change to The Advocacy and Support Centre (TASC) in 2004. In 2016, it became TASC National Limited, though it is still widely referred to as TASC[5].

Services

TASC offers a range of services aimed at supporting people in vulnerable situations. These include:

• Legal Services: Providing legal assistance, particularly for those in need of support due to domestic or family violence.

TASC serves communities across a vast geographic area, including Toowoomba, Ipswich, Roma, Goondiwindi, and the Greater South West regions of Queensland. It also operates in other areas such as North and South Burnett and Gympie. The organisation supports over 3,000 people annually across more than 400,000 square kilometers of South West Queensland and an additional 6,000 square kilometers in the Ipswich region[5].
