Applications are open for the Angus Gray Piano Performance Grant 2025. Angus Gray was a performer, vocalist, composer, producer and arranger. His piano, keyboard and synthesiser skills were highly sought after in the jazz, funk, R&B, soul and blues music scenes. He was described as a remarkable and sensitive musician, an icon, a leader and a mentor with a beautiful soul. This grant is an annual grant, in Angus’s honour, supported by the Gray family. We accept applications from any pianist under the age of 25 who is pursuing a career in performance and seeking financial assistance for an activity or purchase that will help in this pursuit. Piano Project is a Melbourne charity that supports projects that improve access to music education. We work in partnership with Tempo Rubato a live classical music venue in Brunswick. Piano Project welcomes donations. We have gift recipient status from the Australian Tax Office and all donations over 2 are tax deductible.
