We’re thrilled to announce that we have raised over $415,000 for cancer research at Peter Mac through the 30th Peter Mac Cup! This includes a generous $100K matched gift donation from the Pratt Foundation and a $50K donation from Community Bank Strathmore who sponsored this year’s Peter Mac Cup Breakfast. A special thank you to @collingwood_fc and @carlton_fc for their ongoing support of the Peter Mac Cup. Over the course of 10 days, we had players and coaches attend the Peter Mac Cup Breakfast, visit us at our Parkville campus, and host patients and staff at training. Thank you for making this year’s Peter Mac Cup so special and congratulations to Collingwood for taking out the Cup. A huge thank you also to Anthony Rocca, who generously shared his cancer journey with us through this year's pre-game moment – over 80,000 people attended the round 4 match, where a video of Anthony was played. Another highlight of the night was paediatric patient (and massive Pies fan), Jack, who joined the Collingwood team as they ran through the banner before the game. We’d also like to congratulate Collingwood for their victory at the match, and to Lachie Schultz for taking home this year’s Richard Pratt Medal. This Mother’s Day, whether you're remembering a mother you've lost, caring for a loved one, facing challenges on your journey to motherhood, or simply feeling the weight of the day, please know you're not alone. We continue to support those affected by cancer and honour the many forms that motherhood can take.
