That’s a wrap! Super fun few days running around the hospital campus with the amazing photog Elise Derwin shooting images of our new-look surrounds! A big shout out to our talent - we cast the best smiles among our hospital staff - who all gave a little sparkle to the pics. They definitely captured the essence of our culture here at St Vincent's. On May 12th each year (the birthday of Florence Nightingale) we celebrate nurses around the world, and for us we especially recognise the tireless, compassionate and courageous nurses in our Northern NSW community. The theme for International Nurses Day this year is 'Our Nurses, Our Future. Caring for nurses strengthens economies.' So true, as nurses face daily physical, mental, emotional and ethical challenges - it's imperative to prioritise the overall wellbeing of our nurses so that we have a secure and productive workforce and healthcare system. St Vincent's Hospital couldn't be prouder of the nursing team here in Lismore and look forward to supporting them into the future.
