One Institute, multiple sites – each strategically placed to enable rapid research translation. Since 2008, Ingham Institute’s research has targeted the unique needs of South Western Sydney’s 1.2m population. Our researchers pioneer translational research to achieve global health equity. Our opportunity for impact is expanding! In just a few months, our second site – Ingham Institute Macarthur – will complete construction. Ingham Institute Macarthur is a collaboration with our closest partners – SWSLHD, UNSW Sydney and WSU – a strategic grouping that combines academic rigour with an avenue for its rapid translation. The Centre is located between WSU’s Clinical School and the new Campbelltown Hospital – and linked to both via footbridge. In line with our mission, research focus will target conditions of greatest prevalence for the Macarthur community – diabetes, mental health, indigenous health, paediatrics / child wellbeing and addiction medicine.
