Today is #InternationalMuseumDay, a day that celebrates the power of art and museums to create and sustain communities. It is a challenging time for the arts in our country. Institutions and communities large and small are losing critical support they need to serve their audiences, while at the same time the imperative to engage with the range of humanity’s creative and cultural expression has never been more urgent or necessary. We encourage you to keep the arts in your life in any way you can: get involved in your community arts organizations, go to a play, concert, dance performance, visit a museum or gallery, create art and support artists and arts education. Today, we salute our community for your continuing support of the arts and the MFA. (fb)
