In Week 2, some of our keen Year 7 Environment Club members got their hands dirty planting native species in the new garden bed at the Year 7 Cottages. 🌱 Their goal? To attract pollinators, grow some tasty bush tucker (like the delicious Midyim berry), and help conserve the beautiful Richmond Birdwing Butterfly.🦋 Our Year 7s also planted a special native vine - the only food Richmond Birdwing caterpillars can eat. 🌱 Planting this vine is a crucial step in supporting the butterfly's recovery and helping it recolonise areas where it is now rare. 🦋 This hands-on project is giving our Year 7s a chance to take ownership of their space and connect with their environment in a meaningful way! 🌱 Great work, Year 7s! 👏 #proudtobeflinders #flinderssecondary #flindersenvironmentclub (fb)

OUR OBJECTIVE To provide a wide range of sporting opportunities to students at Matthew Flinders Anglican College and also to young people in our local community by making sport accessible enjoyable and challenging. We provide these outcomes in a supportive community to help participants develop their skills character and networks.
