🎓✨ A huge congratulations to these incredible Grade 12 girls, who have officially finished school and just completed their final exams! Most of these young women have called Carman’s House (our girls hostel) home for over three years. It is a safe and supportive home for girls who would otherwise have no secure place to live while finishing their education. In Ethiopia, only around 10% of girls make it all the way to the end of high school — so this is no small achievement. ✨ We made it!! Our group is still buzzing from the experience of spending time on country, trekking parts of the Larapinta trail. This was a very special adventure for all of us, taking in the beauty of the land, overcoming physical challenges, meeting new friends and in doing so raising funds for our work in Ethiopia. We are incredibly thankful to… @imogenbloodwood our insightful & passionate guide, @inspiredadventures for organising the trip, @carmanskitchen for their generous support, the grandparents who babysat our groups kids, and everyone who donated!
