Prosper Coffs Harbour is a not-for-profit company, established to administer three charitable trusts whose core objective is to develop a secure source of funds for important infrastructure in the Coffs Harbour region. During the 202122 financial year the Coffs Harbour Protection of the Environment Trust has continued to actively advance environmental initiatives with advice to the Board. The Environmental Trust, in conjunction with the Friends of the North Coast Botanic Garden, has advanced fundraising for the Children s Environmental Education Garden project. The project has been successful in attracting donations from local businesses and community groups and, although not quite fully funded, is in a position to commence construction in 202223. The Environmental Trust has also continued to support bushfire recovery in the community, through the delivery of Bushfire Education Workshops in Primary Schools across the City of Coffs Harbour, the Schools Environmental Grants Program and water quality testing in the Crystal Waters lagoon at Sapphire Beach.
