Yesterday, we were proud to host the RTO Reference Group Meeting at the Plumbing Industry Climate Action Centre (PICAC) in Beenleigh, bringing together RTO leaders, training providers, and industry partners from across Queensland. With 28 online and 22 in-person attendees, the event sparked valuable discussions around current challenges and upcoming changes in the vocational education and training sector. Event Highlights: - Martha Braidwood from PICAC shared insights into the training opportunities available through their RTO and guided us through an impressive facility tour. - Christina Bradley from Powering Skills Organisation delivered an update on the UEE project and key developments on low/no enrolment qualifications. - Shane Wright from HAPTA group unpacked the new standards for RTO compliance, effective 1 July 2025, offering practical advice to help providers prepare. These conversations are key to building a future-ready training sector that supports Queensland’s evolving energy and construction workforce.
