Yesterday, a group of ladies from The REED Collective and Communicare delivered beautiful bouquets to the residents of SwanCare Kingia, sparking smiles and even a few tears of happiness. An action that truly brightened our residents’ day! 💐 The REED Collective launched The Bloom Well Project nine months ago, an initiative that believes in the power of kindness and community. In floristry workshops, women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds learn new skills through hands-on experience in flower arranging. Aimed at empowering women by building their confidence, creativity and providing a sense of purpose through repurposing unused flowers into stunning posies which are then gifted to residents in aged care facilities. 💕 Thanks to the generous donations from Jesson Flowers and Floraco, more than 30kg of unsold blooms were transformed by a group of 15 talented women into heartfelt gifts, each paired with a handwritten note. The result? A beautiful moment of connection across generations. 🥰 A huge thank you to everyone who made this day so special. Celebrating Leanne’s Retirement 🍾 Today, we bid a warm farewell to our incredible Admissions Manager, Leanne LeBrun, as she retires after 22 years of dedicated service. Surrounded by colleagues from across the campus, Julie Atkinson, our General Manager Health and Aged Care Services, summed up Leanne perfectly in two words: a Giver and a Doer. 💬 “Leanne, you’ve given so much to this organisation - your care, your knowledge, your unwavering support and comfort to residents and families. You are a doer, tackling every challenge head-on, from new systems to major refurbishments. Your contribution has been nothing short of exceptional.” Leanne reflected on her journey with warmth and gratitude: 💬 “This has never felt like a job - it’s been my passion. Helping residents through their journey has been the most rewarding experience of my career. I have loved what I do, but it’s time to say goodbye. Thank you all for your support.” Leanne, your legacy will live on in the lives you’ve touched and the difference you’ve made. Congratulations on your retirement!
