His passing is sudden and leaves a space that cannot be filled. In a way that is both heartbreaking and profoundly moving, Azmie left this world on the rehearsal stage, doing what he loved most, dancing. It is such a shock to the entire dance community, a reminder of both the fragility and the beauty of life lived with passion. Azmie was more than a dancer; he was the very embodiment of dance itself. A bright spark of joy and artistry, he carried such humility and grace alongside an extraordinary dedication to his craft. To witness him dance was to witness spirit in motion, and to share the stage with him was an honour and a pleasure beyond words. He showed us what it truly means to be a dancer: to live with passion, to give with sincerity, and to move with a heart full of devotion. Now, even as we grieve, we feel his presence everywhere, pervading the spirit of every dancer, living on in the rhythm of every step and in the stillness between movements.
