Last week MultiLink Community Services Inc. SSI - Settlement Services International and Logan City Council hosted a joint Youth Forum which brought together around 80 attendees, including Mayor Jon Raven, distinguished guests, and five outstanding youth panellists who led a thoughtful and engaging discussion. The forum was shaped by feedback from the December 2024 youth survey, which called for greater youth involvement in community leadership and decision-making. Panellists explored real issues impacting young people - from community challenges and awareness of local policy, to how youth can get involved and influence meaningful change. They also reflected on systemic barriers and the importance of community leaders creating space for youth-led advocacy.
