We were honoured to celebrate NAIDOC Week with a special event at Creating Links that began with a powerful Smoking Ceremony led by Uncle John, followed by an engaging Boomerang Painting session where he shared stories and the meaning behind traditional Aboriginal symbols. A heartfelt thank you to Aunty Liz for her incredible work in organising and preparing such a meaningful day for our community. We were also privileged to welcome Canterbury Bankstown Mayor Bilal El-Hayek and Board Member & Councillor Chris Cahill, whose presence helped make the event even more special. NAIDOC Week is a time to recognise and celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples—and we are proud to continue learning and walking together in respect and reconciliation.
