Thanks @keolisdownernorthernbeaches for having us at your open day and launch of your new electric bus fleet today. Brookvale depot has a strong history of bus operations, opening in October 1952 as tram services transitioned to bus services on the Northern Beaches, and Manly Depot closed, it has been a mainstay of services in the Warringah and Pittwater regions. This depot is one of the first 11 in Sydney to be converted to 100% electric bus operations. Over the next 12 months the entire bus fleet, except for some bendy buses, will be replaced by Zero Emission battery electric buses. On display were Albion Double Decker, AEC Regal IV underfloor 3197 and Leyland Atlantean 1003. (fb)
