Now, he’s back for his ninth charity ride - "the Gulf-to-Gulf Classic" - swapping pedals for a postie bike to carry water from Spencer Gulf to the Gulf of Carpentaria, crossing thousands of kilometres of red dust, back roads, and big-hearted towns. Why? Because for Michael, riding isn’t about distance - it’s about making a difference. With nearly $200K raised and 100,000km travelled, he rides for connection, conversation, and hope. And yes - he and his wife Barbra are in full Where’s Wally? costumes, reminding us that those struggling with mental health often hide in plain sight.
