His research aims to mobilise protective immunity in the nose to prevent or treat the full spectrum of viral-induced respiratory disease, from sniffles through to severe acute respiratory syndrome. Professor Michael Breakspear - University of Newcastle researcher from our Brain Neuromodulation Research Program Human thought arises from the complex interactions of many thousands of neurons across circuits of the brain. Recent research suggests that these interactions are coordinated via waves of propagating activity. This talk will overview the evidence for these waves in health and their disorganization in brain diseases. He'll also highlight efforts being made at the University of Newcastle to address and support male reproductive health Renee Goreham - University of Newcastle researcher from our Cancer Detection and Therapy Research Program This talk explores how red and infrared light can image breast tissue, offering a gentler alternative to X-rays.
