At Y NSW, our LGBTQIA+ Queer Collective, Affinity Network is proud to lead the way: ✨ Rocking our purple loud and proud at this year’s Inspire IV Leaders Conference at The Y Camp Yarramundi. ✨ Hosting a Mardi Gras Parade Focus Group with young people and allies from The Y NSW - Youth Parliament, shaping the conversation around this year’s theme. ✨ East Gymnastics powered by the Y is lighting up the floor with purple fits and wristbands. 🎨 And speaking of purple fits… our Wear it Purple tees were designed by Jessie (She/Her), 21, VIC – @gentoo.studios – a young queer artist and The Y Geelong staff member! “As a young neurodiverse artist, I create to express my emotions. On the front of the tee, a snail hides in the bushes with the words ‘don’t hide’. On the back, the same snail proudly reveals its rainbow shell with the words ‘show your true colours’. It’s a reminder that it’s always okay to be yourself and shine with pride.” Because when young voices are amplified, the future shines brighter for everyone. 🌈💪 By wearing purple today, we send a powerful message: You belong here.
