Tash from C&K The Range Community Kindergarten, along with Early Childhood Pedagogy Advisor, Justine, had an absolute blast supporting Allenstown State School’s recent Under Eights Day! 🤩 The teaching team at C&K The Range provided fun, hands-on activities that aligned with this year’s Under Eights theme, "Unleashing Scientific Thinking Through Play", inviting children to play, experiment, and discover 🤖🧲🔍 Our featured activities: 🪁 Kite making encouraged design thinking, fine motor skills, and an understanding of wind and movement. 🖌️ Pendulum painting introduced basic physics concepts like motion, force, and gravity, all through artistic expression. These open-ended experiences sparked curiosity, supported early scientific thinking, and gave children the freedom to ask questions and explore ideas through play. It’s a powerful reminder that joyful, hands-on learning in the early years lays the foundation for confident, capable learners 💭 Events like this show that it truly takes a village to raise a child.
