Around 40 community members joined the official opening of Gladesville’s newest garden, designed and inspired by the aspirations of local community housing tenants. Accessibility and inclusion are key features of the new space, with hip-height garden beds and level flooring. Located on the grounds of one of our Gladesville properties, we hope it will be a place to rest, relax and grow food for an estimated 330 tenants who live in adjacent and nearby apartment buildings, managed by SGCH. On the opening day we were joined by the Royal Botanic Garden's Community Greening program. Brenden’s gardening tips were a hit, with residents gathering around to make mini terrariums, getting inspiration on what they might grow.
