This week, we welcomed back esteemed academic and cultures of thinking consultant, Mr Simon Brooks. Mr Brooks spent two days with BGGS experienced and new academic staff prioritising thinking cultures. Our trained coaches explored the value of integrating observations and feedback into coaching conversations and at the end of the week, new academic staff worked with Mr Brooks to build a culture of thinking. The staff were introduced to the Eight Cultural Forces shaping classroom culture; witnessed pictures of practice through video vignettes; and took part in group thinking using Thinking Routines. (fb)
