Awards WA Inc.

Awards WA Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting youth development in Western Australia. Established in 1962, the organization supports young people through various programs aimed at enhancing their personal development and community engagement.

Programs and Initiatives

Awards WA offers several initiatives that focus on empowering young individuals. One of its key programs is The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award, which is a global leader in non-formal education, catering to participants aged 14 to 24 years. This award encourages young people to develop skills in areas such as physical recreation, skill acquisition, community service, and adventurous journeys.

Another notable initiative is the Ignite Award, an experiential learning program designed for students aged 9 to 13. This program emphasizes positive self-development, initiative, and well-being, fostering student engagement and a sense of belonging.

Partnerships and Impact

Awards WA collaborates with over 130 educational institutions and community organizations across Western Australia. These partnerships enable the organization to support more than 3,500 young people annually, promoting self-determination and fostering active and inclusive citizenship among youth.
