We are pleased to share the latest edition of Pioneer with you. Pioneer Edition Three is centered on stories of great faithfulness, our organisational theme for the year, and celebrates the far reaching impact of faithful moments. In this edition, we honour 30 years of Port Stephens College and 25 years of Young Parents College - reflecting on the early days and the pioneering efforts that helped shape these Colleges into what they are today. We also recognise the dedicated, faithful work across our learning programs - from fostering joyful, child-led learning in our youngest children at Narnia Early Learning, to laying foundations for mentorship and leadership through the St Philip’s Teaching School, as we support the formation of the next generation of educators. We invite you to read Pioneer Edition Three: https://www.spcc.nsw.edu.au/our-story/pioneer (fb)
What a joy to gather with colleagues from across our SPCE Learning Communities this week for our annual Staff Conference. Over two days, we had the opportunity to reflect deeply on our 2025 theme of Faithfulness—a timely reminder of the purpose and conviction that underpins all we do in education. As we prepare for the term ahead, these shared moments of connection and inspiration help strengthen our shared commitment to the transformational work of teaching and learning. A particular highlight was welcoming Paul Matthews, who challenged and equipped us to consider the ethical best practice of AI in education, a rapidly evolving space where wisdom and discernment are needed more than ever. At SPCE, we remain committed to leading the way in delivering a wholistic education, grounded in our core values and focused on the flourishing of every student we serve. (fb)
