The folks behind @thecommunitygrocer, one of our Growing Healthy Communities grant recipients, go the extra mile for their customers by ensuring the fruit and vegetables on offer are both affordable and culturally relevant to them. Here, you won’t just find grapes, bananas and leafy greens, but also produce like taro and okra. Thanks Tess, Libby, Phoebe and Lauren! 🤗 On Friday, these four incredible humans completed their placement round with us, the final placement component of their Master of Dietetics at Monash University! We had the most wonderful 10 weeks with these legends, who not only became key team members at our markets, but also worked on several projects and reports in the background, including our Impact Evaluation. We were blown away by how much work these students put in in their time with us, both in their written work, and also in our random market activities, which ranged from things like processing sales, to chopping up produce scraps for chickens, and a spot of face painting! 😂 We're so going to miss having your varied but totally wonderful personalities around our markets, but we're so excited to see what wonderful things the future holds for each of you.
