🎭Mt Eliza Fifty Five Plus Club Theatre Group 🎭 🙋‍♀️We have an exciting update on the progress of the theatre group, Laugh and a Half, also known as The Golden Ages Showbiz Club, which has been an activity of your club for the past 12 months.👯 While our numbers have remained steady with around ten dedicated regulars, the growth and confidence among these members has been nothing short of remarkable. Some of our performers had never stood on a stage before joining the group, and now they are confidently using handheld microphones, performing memorised scripts, and truly owning the stage space⭐️ The bond that has formed among members is strong—we've become a theatre family, and Monday afternoon rehearsals have quickly become a joyful highlight of the week. The sessions are full of laughter, creativity, and encouragement🙋‍♀️ 🎭We are pleased to share that the group has been invited to perform a variety show at the Rosebud Over 50s Social Club later this year. The performance will run for approximately 90 minutes and will include a mix of Songs, Pam Ayers-style poetry, comedy monologues, mime, and character sketches. The show will be hosted by professional comedian and comedy writer Don Jones ⭐️ The performers ( all members of your club ) are volunteering their time to bring joy and FREE entertainment to others, the opportunity to perform for an audience is a wonderful step forward in their journey.
