History Rocks! 🪨 Recently, our Bathurst students embarked on an exciting excursion to Sydney, where they explored the Nicholson Collection at the Chau Chak Wing Museum, University of Sydney The Nicholas Collection is home to nearly 30,000 artefacts and is the largest collection of antiquities in the Southern Hemisphere. Students were able to connect their classroom learning to real-world history, seeing first-hand the relics of ancient Egypt, Rome, and other remarkable civilisations. The excursion also included a visit to The Big Dig Archaeology Centre! The Big Dig is an important archaeological site that uncovered the remains of one of Australia's earliest urban settlements, dating back to the early 19th century! (fb)
