This weekend, a brand-new exhibition opens at TarraWarra Museum of Art! ROSE NOLAN: BREATHING HELPS opens Saturday 9 August. Explore large-scale sculptural installations, photographic self-portraits, and bold spatial interventions by acclaimed Australian artist Rose Nolan. Nolan’s works aren’t just seen but moved through. To fully experience them, visitors are invited to walk, pause, look again. To breathe and shift their position in space. On Sunday, witness COLLOQUY, a new performance work by Melbourne-based choreographer Shelley Lasica. This work embraces choreographic thinking and is devised in conversation with the exhibition and as a creative exchange unlocking opportunities for both artists. ROSE NOLAN: BREATHING HELPS opens THIS SATURDAY at TarraWarra Museum of Art. A major solo exhibition by acclaimed Australian artist, Rose Nolan, whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting, sculpture, photography and printmaking. Curated by Dr Victoria Lynn, Breathing Helps brings together Nolan’s large-scale red-and-white installations for the first time. These monumental works, alongside new site-specific commissions, draw on modernist legacies and engage boldly with the architecture of the Museum. Nolan’s works transform language into lived experience, unfolding across time and space, engaging the viewer through rhythm and repetition.
