“We change outcomes because we invest in research and apply these research findings into clinical practice and policy.” 👩🏻‍🔬🔬 At the Womens Agenda Women’s Health and Wellbeing Summit earlier this month, our CEO Dr Cleola Anderiesz joined Angela Priestley, Professor Cassandra Szoeke and Dina Titkova in a panel that spotlighted the urgent need for inclusive research on women’s health across the life course. Despite making up half of the global population, only 7% of health research funding goes towards conditions exclusively affecting women and those assigned female at birth. From the economic and societal toll of breast cancer to the historic exclusion of women in clinical trials, the conversation was a call to action to invest in research by and for women, and to amplify the voices of women and gender diverse people at all life stages.
