UCA - Lancefield
UCA - Lancefield refers to a congregation within the Uniting Church in Australia (UCA), specifically located in the region of Lancefield, Victoria. The UCA is a major Christian denomination in Australia, established in 1977 through the union of the Methodist Church of Australasia, the Congregational Union of Australia, and the Presbyterian Church of Australia.
Mission and Activities
The Uniting Church supports various community and social activities across Australia, with a strong emphasis on reconciliation and justice initiatives. This includes working closely with Indigenous communities to uphold their rights and support their self-determined aspirations[4].
Structure
The UCA operates through a series of synods across different regions, with Lancefield being part of the Synod of Victoria and Tasmania. Each synod manages local church governance and supports community outreach programs.
Community Engagement
While specific details about UCA - Lancefield's community programs are not available, the broader UCA is engaged in numerous initiatives to foster social cohesion, support vulnerable populations, and promote religious dialogue.
Legal Status
UCA - Lancefield, like other Uniting Church congregations, operates under the framework of a nonprofit organization, with its activities guided by the principles of the Uniting Church in Australia. However, the specific ABN (Australian Business Number) provided for UCA - Lancefield suggests it is recognized as an entity within the larger UCA structure.
Relevance in the Community
The presence of UCA - Lancefield in the local community reflects the broader role of religious institutions in fostering community engagement, supporting charitable causes, and promoting spiritual growth.

Acknowledgement of Country We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and custodians of the land on which we live work gather and worship and we pay our respects to their elders past and present. We acknowledge that the Church throughout this Synod meets on land for which First Peoples have ongoing spiritual sovereignty and custodianship and we commit ourselves to respecting Country and to working for a more just future together. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should be aware this website may contain images voices andor videos of deceased people. As the Church believes God guided it into union so it believes that God is calling it to continually seek a renewal of its life as a community of First Peoples and of Second Peoples from many lands.
