The only one not thrilled about this weekend’s sunshine? Obi the Pygmy Hippo. 🌞 After all, nothing beats last week’s torrential rain, where he literally had a ball wallowing in the mud and splashing about in his favourite puddles. 💦🦛 Pygmy Hippos like Obi are endangered and call the rivers and swamps of West Africa home, spending most of their time in water before heading out at night to munch on plants, grasses and fallen fruit. Marni, our female Sumatran Tiger, and Ninka, our Maned Wolf, each got their paws on an ostrich egg. These clever solitary hunters had the best time sniffing, pawing, and exploring their intriguing new enrichment - each in their own unique way! While they prefer hunting alone, Marni and Ninka both proved today that curiosity looks good on everyone. Come and see them in action! (fb)
