As we begin a new term, we’re celebrating the incredible success of our Intermediate and Senior Girls Netball teams, who both went undefeated in Term 3 and took home the Southern Independent Schools pennants! Their teamwork, determination and skill shone through – especially after strong performances at the Waverley International and Victorian Schools Championships. This year, our Year 3 Future Makers have been on a journey of custodianship – exploring what it truly means to care for our world. From researching threatened Australian species and writing information texts, to building habitat trioramas and visiting Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, their learning has been hands-on and connected to the real world. They’ve linked STEM with coding their own games about threatened species, written stories with these species as main characters, and even turned them into Japanese comics! Each week, their learning continues outdoors on our 100 acres of natural parkland on Dhumba-dha biik, which grounds everything in connection to country.
