The soul is energy as consciousness Weaknesses occur when the soul loses control over the physical, emotional and mental bodies. Perhaps another way of saying this comes from Theosophy? There it is said that the soul is connected to the personality which is made up of a physical body, an emotional body and a mental body. To think that what cannot be seen is not reality is erroneous. There is an unseen realm of existence which can be felt as energy which is pulsating at differing vibrations. Soul is energy and to believe that the body identity is reality is to believe that when the body dies it is dust to dust. No more!
