Every 18 months, the global YMCA selects and appoints Global Change Agents. With our newest cohort of change agents selected, we want to take a moment to celebrate the program and its impact and to proudly support the global impact of a Change Agent from the Zambia YMCA in Africa. Rapheka Malunga is a recent graduate of the program and was supported by the Y to attend the 4th Pan African Youth Forum in Oran, Algeria. That’s why this program is so special. No matter which country, region or community – Y Global Change Agents have an opportunity to have their voices amplified and create change in the process. Tomorrow YMCA Victoria will announce its annual Victorian Mother of the Year Award. The award highlights the importance of role models who inspire and empower those around them. Mums and mother figures are all around us, not only in our families but in our local community groups, schools and workplaces.
