Unless, of course, you’re in the middle of the storm! Then … not so much. It’s all about perspective, isn’t it? So, too, the storms we experience in our lives – the emotional storms, the financial storms, maybe even the spiritual storms. But what if you had a constant companion in the storms? A reliable companion you could trust. One who may not prevent the storms, but one you knew had power to protect you in the storms. How would that change your perspective about the storms? Sunday September 14 - 'Seasons of Creation' - Wk2 YOU’RE AN IDIOT! You’re an absolute fool if you believe all that Jesus stuff! There are probably few taunts that get our attention as quickly and as deeply as being called a fool. And yet Paul told the Corinthians that the message of the cross – the foundation stone of our Christian faith – is foolishness. He was right, though. When we dare to allow ourselves to believe that God created all things for us, sustains all things for us, and even died as one of us in order to save us, then we begin to understand that the foolishness of the cross is indeed the wisdom of God, and we begin to see and experience the beauty and fullness of the kingdom of God. God was prepared to be considered a fool for us. Are you prepared to be considered a fool for God?
