We are a community-based organisation working together to provide services and empower those affected by and living with viral hepatitis. HepatitisWA (INC.) managed another year of disruption relating to important mandatory public health measures and protocol, and another period of staff illness and absenteeism whilst still delivering core services and expanding projects and progressing innovations. Stability in staffing has been a big achievement for the organisation, and the benefits of consistency with our clients and patients. Clinical team is working very well together, and the Deen Clinic (Primary Health clinic) is attracting new patients from all cohorts, prompting the implementation of a mixed billing model for nonpriority populations, commencing early 2023. Framework for our next strategic plan has been drafted and will launch in 2023, expanding HepatitisWA s focus on regional services delivery, engagement in valuable research, and creating important content for presenting across more conference opportunities, discussion forums, and webinar platforms. Despite a renewed contract with Department of Health for provision of our core services, and our ongoing funding from Department of Justice for prisoner education sessions, a big focus for the year is on securing additional funding to continue and expand new projects and initiatives.
