Meet Shepparton Foodshare Board member Lyndon Galea. Lyndon grew up in Shepparton and is the EO of charity, Eat Up Australia, which raises funds and volunteers to make sandwiches to donate to schools in multiple Australian states to support their meal programs. Lyndon joined the board this year, adding another valuable skill set to our Board. Here is what he said about his role with Shepparton Foodshare – "Shepparton Foodshare makes such an important difference in a community that I love. I'm grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a wonderful team, organisation and cause." (fb)
FOOD FOR THOUGHT 👇 Our team of dedicated volunteers pack around 365 boxes of food (crates) and distribute to people in need each week. That’s a mix of shelf staples, fresh food and frozen/chilled food. The ingredients necessary to build a meal around and for good nutrition. If you are an individual or family in need of food relief please click here for a list of local agencies that may be able to assist you. REGISTER If you are a notforprofit emergency relief service school neighbourhood house church or community meals program you may be eligible to register to collect our food.
