Yesterday, our year 10 student leadership program, lead by deputy principal Mr. O'Neill, kicked off with almost 30 year 10 students that have been identified as having leadership qualities aligned to the high potential and gifted education framework. Today, our Opens Touch Football teams represented the school with pride at the Zone Touch Football Carnival. Both the boys’ and girls’ teams displayed outstanding effort, competitive spirit, and great sportsmanship throughout the day, each finishing 5th in their respective divisions, winning 3 games and losing 3. Special mentions to our MVPs: Piper – The youngest player across both teams, Piper played well beyond her years. A true pocket rocket, she led the girls on the field with determination . Her individual talent was undeniable, but it was her unselfish team play and encouragement that really stood out. Tom – A natural leader, Tom was the heart of the boys’ team. His leadership on and off the field inspired his teammates and kept spirits high throughout the day. He played with strength, skill, and composure, guiding his team through every match with resilience and positivity. Well done to all players for their hard work and commitment.
