Possums also known as Neuroprotective Developmental Care and first delivered in 2011 is a paradigm shift in the care of parents and their infants. Possums or NDC is the result of Dr Pamela Douglass 30 years of research and clinical experience. NDC flips much of the usual advice parents receive once they have a baby upside down in favour of truly evidencebased wholeofecosystem care. Dr Pam translates the latest evidence about breastfeeding feeds sleep infant sensory motor development cryfuss problems and perinatal and infant mental health into education for both parents and professionals with a mission to help every family grow joy together during one of lifes most challenging but rewarding times.
