AusCongo Network

AusCongo Network (ACN) - Asset Based Community Development in the Democratic Republic of Congo We aim to teach people how to fish rather than giving them the fish: eg. In partnership with Kyeema Foundation, more than 15 850 chicken have been vaccinated in 23 Congolese villages. The participants are now able to vaccinate their chickens themselves. Chickens are a key family resource. In partnership with the Rotary Club of Greater Springfield,1568 fuel efficient stoves have been built in twenty Congolese villages. Reduces risk of injury from open fires and environmental pollution which is also a health risk. The people are also teaching each other how to build a stove.
