Well done to the Youth Live4Life Crew (Bridget, Beth, Miley, Emmeline and Zoe), the Well-being Team at MNSC (particularly Emma Hughes) and the South Gippsland L4L Coordinators for launching Live4Life with the MNSC Year 8 students, who are about to do their Teen Mental Health First Aid training. The Live4Life ‘Crew’ is a group of Year 9 volunteers from each Secondary College in South Gippsland who care about and promote teen mental health in their school. They also run events at their own schools including the introduction of Live4Life to the Year 8 students through a fun day that they help direct and organise. The images below show the MNSC Crew engaging the Y8s this week with a range of activities and a BBQ lunch. Research shows that the Crew component of the Live 4 Life Program is one of the elements that makes this program effective in tackling the mental health challenges that our teens are experiencing.
