Founded in 2005 by three animal lovers, Saving Perth Animals From Euthanasia has grown into a dynamic organization with over 300 dedicated volunteers and foster carers. It operates as a charity with the primary goal of stopping the euthanasia of healthy, rehomable pets and farm animals.
Mission and Objectives
- Prevent Euthanasia: The core mission is to save animals from euthanasia, focusing on cats, dogs, and other animals across Western Australia.
- Promote Responsible Pet Ownership: Encouraging responsible pet ownership to reduce animal abandonment and surrender.
- Community Engagement: Working closely with local rangers, vets, and police to assist animals in a variety of circumstances.
Operations
- Animal Intakes: Animals are taken in from various sources including vets, pounds, private surrenders, and breeders.

- Adoption Process: Potential adopters undergo a suitability assessment, followed by a meet-and-greet. A home check ensures the environment is suitable for the animal. A two-week trial period allows for returns if the fit is not right.
